Plaid stole of antique handwoven cotton with bobbin lace trim

Plaid and lace are irresistible together, especially when they are antique. A rustic cotton plaid stole trimmed in beautiful cotton Cluny lace in ecru. This antique fabric is circa early 1900s. The fabric likely originated from East China, where it was handwoven by local women.  I lightly tea-stained it to soften the look.  The plaid is a delightful intersection of red, black, and turquoise with off-white. Slubs and imperfections add to the charming character.  The stole measures about 74 by 18 inches and is finished with a rustic pinked edge.  Wear it with a white shirt, jeans, and a turquoise necklace.
